Auto Distance 7.0

AUTO DISTANCE is a convenient camera measuring tool that allows for quick estimation of the distance to any object and the height of an object. It utilizes the camera lens of your android device to show you the distance to objects. This non-contact distance measurement is achieved by using the camera and hardware sensor of your device.

• Auto Distance automatically measures the distance to the target object by aiming the camera at the base of the object. This measurement is displayed in the live view of the camera.
• Auto Measure uses the height of the camera lens and its tilt angle to calculate the distance to the object. By locking the distance, you can measure the height of the object by aiming the camera at the top of the target object, as shown in the preview image. The only parameter required in this mode is the lens height, which is the height of your camera relative to the base plane.

This application is useful for both indoor and outdoor activities. For example, it can help you estimate distances to buildings and trees, as well as determine heights of individuals and distances in sports such as baseball or measurements relating to boats.

The accuracy of this app relies highly on the device sensor. From our experiments so far, the average accuracy of Auto Distance falls between (+)(-)7.0%. If accuracy is important and critical, you may use Manual Distance (Free Android App) for more accurate distance and height measurements.
